Up for sale this nice authentic Golok (or Bolo ?) machete.
Sheath made of a lovely quality rosewood = Dalbergia latifolia or Indian rosewood or also called Sonokeling, with an elegant curve and beautifully finished brass mounting and with a wooden loop for the carrying strap.
The hilt has a beautiful flamed texture and has a stylised lotus flower end cap with brass collar application.
Sizeable blade, sharpened on one side, has an engraving of two initials at the base (original owner?).
Good fit and in mint condition.
Provenance: the Philippines.
Size: 48 cm.
