Dagger - tebu or..?
Hello gentlemen
The following dagger is new in my collection, seller stated it belongs to Tebu tribe, which is actually living in Chad as I know. But can it be Sudanese, for instance? |

Very nice. The snake scabbard especially. It would seem the style of pommel is wide spread. The engraving does look like South Sudan and being curved might be more typical of South Sudan. Saying that the South of Sudan does border many modern countries.

The blade exhibits the stylized crocodile motif from the Sudan that is found around white Nile region.

Thanks a lot for your comments. As I understand, it belongs to local african tribes, not sudanese arabs? Shall it be considered as muslim weapon anyway?
