Moroccan Nimcha with Scabbard for trade
Hello.
This old Moroccan Nimcha is available for trade toward South Pacific or African Warclubs. The overall sword length is 38 7/8" , of which 33 5/8" of the total is the blade. The horn handle has old native repairs as well as two inlaid/inset buttons or beads. The blade has the Man in the Moon stamp on both sides of it, and groupings of what appears to be 3 small crosses or stars on both sides of the blade as well. The blade also has old areas of sharpening/grinding out of nicks at the blade's cutting edge toward the tip. The scabbard came with the sword when I purchased it, but I'm not sure that it is original to the piece. It appears to have been recovered at some point during the early 20th or late 19th century. Best regards, Joe |
