Arrow sword from ?

Hello ,
I would like to present you my new sword/ keris? or something like that
I have no idea where it comes from. Scabbard is made of the wood with some metal ornaments in it. The blade is quite much curved and also incrusted. Please give me some information about it what can help to identify much more this a bit strange sword. Total length : 65 cm ,the length of the blade (along ) : 43 cm.Thanks.

Alexander.

Hi Alexander,
Your sword comes from Algeria and is often referred to as a "wedding nimcha" though I am not sure if it is in fact anything to do with weddings. Anyway Algeria is it's origin.

Default Nimcha

Hi Alexander,
Stuart is right, of course. Nothing to do with "real", full size nimcha sabers from Algeria and Morocco. Your sword is what is called "ceremonial" nimcha and it is not made for real use, but that is true for many item shown is this forum.

Yours is a nice example with better workmanship, and it looks that it has some reasonable age (my guess would be close to 75). I consider it to be a good addition for any collection of ethnographic weapons.
