Default Help: Possible bontoc axe

Hello all,
took a chance on an item with a possibly axe head of bontoc origin and am just wanting to confirm. Any help identifying the axe would be much appreciated. Also any suggestions on cleaning up the head would be much appreciated too.
thanks

Hello Imas,

yes, IMHO it is a good old Bontoc axe. Would clean the blade with fine steel wool and oil it with WD40.

Regards,

Detlef

What is the thickness of the blade, are there any bevels?

Definitely Bontoc head axe. I would try to take off the red active rust - that stuff is dangerous.
