Question pamor Sri Gunung

Hello, everyone!
I became a member yesterday, and I allready have a quest.
I'm looking for a keris with the pamor Sri Gunung. I first saw it in a book by Tammens, who got it from Groneman, by the way!! The pamor is placed on the sorsoran, or it should be, and no other pamor exists on the keris then that. I believe the translation is devine mountain.
I even got the patern tattood on my sternum.
Lovely pamor.
Can anybody help me, please.
Arathon

Hello Arathon,

Ing G.J.F.J Tammens did a good job by writing his keris books.
Like he mentioned himself, a important source is the work of Groneman.
But besides that he combined and compares other sources too.

When it comes to the pamor types in my opinion the main source lies not in the articles Groneman wrote....correct me if wrong. ( maybe other keris study fanatics can help us out)

If you study the pamor types of Tammens, you will find out that - i will not say mistakes - opinions of how excactly a pamor look like are different.
..as far for the drawings...some pamor patrons are more abstract or complex then the drawings. Besides that some mentioned pamors are made upon old javanese manuscripts/ writing. For example if you ask all members to draw a car, would you have 2 exact drawings?

...i hope one of the forum members can help us with this pamor too.
pictures and drawings please!

greetings
Simatua

Send a picture of your tatoo to an Empu
You can have a keris in a month or 2.

(not trying to rhyme)

I've had a couple of keris with Sri Gunung pamor, but they are indeed all a bit different. I always thought Gunung means volcano, but who knows, maybe its mountain.

Well sure Rick, but what rhymes with panday keris.

Send a picture of you tat to a panday keris,
And in a month or two you might get your someday wish (slight rhyme).

Doesn't exactly trip off the tongue, does it?

Hi Arathon,

Welcome! Could you post a picture of your tattoo please? And that of the keris too. We'd like to see. Thanks!
