Default Kabeala?

This one had been on Ebay for some time. I won't be able to see it in person for a few months so am using the Ebay photos. The scabbard and handle seem typical Sumba but the blade seems unusual for these, both the straight back profile and choil. Perhaps a trade blade? The stamp may be a clue.

Hello Jeff,

Since nobody commented until now I will give it a try!

Your "new" Kabeala seems to be rather short so I guess that it's a working blade, similar a golok. This may explain the unusual blade tip as well the straight spine, see also here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ighlight=sumba

Regards,
Detlef
