Kandjar Katar

Some years ago I found at auction this dagger what I think is a Kandjar Katar. Its hilt is remarkable because it is made from aluminium. So I thought this dagger was made in the last century around the 1950s. But I learnt that aluminium after its discovery in the 1840/50 shortly has been more expensive than gold what made me think that this Kandjar Katar might be perhaps from this early time? What do you think?

Hello. This is the Jamdhar Katari, the traditional dagger of the Hindu Kush people. These were very poor guys. It is difficult to find gold and silver on their weapons. So the highly valued aluminum could hardly have been in their possession before the middle of the 20th century.
