Assamese side-knife, right?
I believe this is Assamese but it was just a hunch. The pommel the way it is, the open-faced scabbard, but using rattan or some other vegetation to bind it...
Anything ya'll can tell me about this piece? |

I like this sort of thing. I like the rugged way the pommel is attached. The tribesmen in this picture are carrying very similar weapons. The chap with the fur hat is a Mishmi tribesman and the other is an Abor. Pictures from "Peoples of the World, printed 1918"
