Default Bugis Keris?

Hello all,

This is my first post to the Keris Forum (I usually hang out over in the Ethnographic area). I recently picked up this Keris, rather cheaply, at a local auction. I am a complete novice when it comes to Keris and would greatly appreciate comments from more learned members.

From my readings, the form of the scabbard suggests a Bugis origin. The blade is rather thin and seems a little small for the scabbard. Are the blade and dress a recent marriage?

Cheers,
Russel

Hello Russel,
The scabbard & hilt are in Bugis style indeed (odd flat face at the neck on the first pic), but the blade looks Javanese (quite good).
Regards

Thank you Jean,

The flat face on the first pic isn't as pronounced in reality (more an artifact of the my poor photography).
