Greek weapons
Can anybody recommend a good reference book for Greek weapons (17th Century to modern day)?
My searches have only found books concentrating on Ancient Greece. I know Anthony Tirri touches on the subject in his book 'Islamic Weapons' but I was looking for something a little more in-depth. My thanks in advance, Runjeet |

+1 It also has the advantage of being one of the few Elgood volumes within my budget. |

Excellent recommendation Chris!!!!
In true Robert Elgood fashion his book on the weapons of Greece now stands as 'THE' reference on these arms. He spent many years researching this, and as I recall when it was first released he was invited to Athens for a celebration of the event. He worked very hard with publishers to keep the cost down as I also recall, and was quite proud of that specified result. |

Hi Rick,
That does ring a bell, I am sure I must have seen it at the book stall at the London arms fairs the last few years, but ignorantly ignored it and spent my money on a nice Indian Tulwar instead! I'll do a search right now and get it ordered! Comments taken on board Ibrahiim, Salaam. Thanks all, Runjeet |
