Default Cannon for Comment

I do not often post here but I came across this cannon in a local museum recently. Some history of the piece is also shown. Foveaux Strait is the stretch of water separating the South Island of New Zealand from Stewart Island.
Thought it might be of interest.

So goo you came in the forum with a special gift, Stu .
Always good to have one of these around, specially when well identyfied and with an amazing story .
Just a pity that i have in my hometown a handsome XVIII century fortification but no cannons were left. I wonder were they are by now
Being proud of this local monument, i hope yu don't mind me posting a couple pics.

Hi Fernando,
Beautiful old building you show. Don't know if you saw this post from a while ago. http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=16927 Maybe some of your cannons are here after being captured by the British!!
