Default New Kris to Share

I just picked this one up; it is my first metal pommel kris. I have some opinions, however, I would like to hear what the more knowledgeable Forum Members have to say first.

Yes I saw this on eBay. Nice example of this type of Maguindanao kris.

Very nice Drac2k, is the pommel from silver? A kris with metal pommel is on my wish list as well!

Regards,
Detlef

Thanks, Sajen. I think it may be, except when I lightly cleaned the pommel with silver polish, underneath the brass tarnish was a silver-like metal. I think it could be some type of silver alloy as I have not seen brass tarnish like that.

Yes, in this case it will be silver. When it tarnishes soon black again it will be another sign for silver.
