Default kris info

Hello friends,

With a rich 'rebellious' history behind it.

Info on probable age, etc. is highly appreciated.

Kind regards

Yves

Hi Yves,

Appears to be a 20th C Sulu kris. Hard to tell if it has a separate gangya from the pictures despite there being a line present to suggest that it may. The cord wrap on the horse hoof hilt is a mid-20th C style and shows wear from handling. Age of the scabbard is probably mid-20th C also, but also hard to say because of damage. The yellow and green (plastic?) wrap on the scabbard is likely significant but I don't know what it means.

Would you post a full length picture of the sword outside its scabbard.

the separation of the ganja seems to be vestigial and it ends on a part that is not separated , still nice weapon
