simple jambya
Somehow my first attempt writing this post went wrong... so here is a 2nd try...
I recently obtained a rather simple Jambya. Handle is supposed to be horn; the monosteel blade sports a nice edge geometry. It somehow contrasts with these highly embellished pieces, but show lots of good craftmanship. thx for looking tim By null at 2011-01-17 By null at 2011-01-17 |

I agree all over. Do a simple etch and find out if it is worth a professional polish.

i recently bought a kurdish jambiyah that turned out to be a wootz blade with a plain wooden grip. p.s. - was researching jambiyah for info on another arabian type & found this one i thought worth ressurecting. Last edited by kronckew; 24th March 2015 at 07:05 PM. |
