Default Folding Knife For ID Please

I've had this knife for some time now. It was listed on ebay, as Japanese. The blade is 5" long, concave, with a groove on one side. Overall length is 13". The ring "stopper" on the tang reminds me of Chinese opium knives. The groove for the blade goes almost all the way to the end of the handle. Blade was probably longer. Shows lots of long, hard use. Anyone know where this is from? .

I can see a minor resemblance to a Japanese Higonokami knife that might explain the attribution but the blade does not look at all Japanese.

I collect Higo-no-kami, and have several Kamisori. Not similar to either. If it's a razor, it's a whopper. Even the old 18th century straights weren't that big. I have pictured, another piece, supposedly from Vietnam. The maker name looks French, but could be German. There is a lot of cross-over between the two. If this one is a razor...
