Default Ivory Hilted Bilao For Comment

Hi All

This arrived today from Artzi's shoppe. The blade is 10" long with a real nice ivory hilt.

Sweet Lew. I bought one from Artzi a couple years ago myself. A bit smaller than yours, 8 1/2 inch blade and the scabbard isn't in as good shape. Good looking dagger I would say.

I like the two tone hilt on yours it's a nice variation the this style of dagger

Here is a pic of one I had last year but it now belongs to a fellow formite. This is probably the finest example you will ever see.

Thats a killer piece Lew. I've never seen one complete with belt. Its the best I've ever seen. It must have been hard to part with. The new owner must be very pleased.

To answer your question yes it was and yes he is It was a gift to the Governor of Trinidad from some diplomat in 1914 0r 1917?
