Exclamation FAKE LANTAKA ALERT INFO

Here is info on the web regarding fake lantaka and cannons. Since this is already on the web, I thought it no harm to post it here.

Makes me feel even better about my little lantaka.

Not that I'm likely to buy a cannon, but thanks Battara.
It's a great cautionary article and it's nice to see someone trying to preserve a certain amount of honesty.
I was recently searching through some sales of New Guinea war shields after running accross one at an unbelievably low price and placing a bid on it, only to be sniped at the last minute by what I THOUGHT was a very luck buyer.
By tracking the selling history I found that the same "sniper" had bought SEVERAL shields at steal prices, and then looked even closer...nope, he/she had bought three shields repeatedly, obviously shilling the bids, with my thought being what if you out sniped them?
As always, watch your pocket books, and again, thanks for the heads up and memory refresh.
Mike
