Everybody is invited
I just posted the last pictures of my Keris collection at the Kampungnet.
Thanks to AlamShah who encouraged me on this project to classify and take pictures of my Keris and Kris. A lot of work but it feels good now when it's up. Please help me in case you find errors, add missing info or write a comment. All Keris freaks are invited. http://www.kampungnet.com.sg/modules...view_album.php Thanks also to BluErf, Ibeam, John and Karsten Sejr Jensen for sharing your knowledge on Keris. Michael |

Wonderful and thank you for sharing with us. I was wondering what age the Bugis keris with toli-toli are?

Thanks all,
Please add a comment (you don't have to be a registered member) when you find errors in the description or if you recognise the pamor or dapur. Battara, I am not sure on which one you asked about? But if it's the Sumbawa 2 my guesstimate is that the dress is early 20th C. The blade is older but newly washed. Michael |

Michael has a fantastic collection, and if this is what he started with, imagine what he would achieve in a decade's time. Keep collecting and discussing, Michael!

Hello Michael,
Thanks for sharing! BTW, I for one wouldn't mind if you were to sneak in some other blades like rencong, etc. I also wanted to put up some stuff for a long time but am still stuck with photographing... Regards, Kai |

BTW, Alam Shah, wouldn't it be preferable to use smaller thumbs for faster loading? When I checked, the file size difference between full size pics and the thumbs wasn't as large as expected. Regards, Kai |

It's a privilege to have you on board and grace it with your outstanding collection Michael as also with the other esteemed collectors. Looks like your photography has also got better along the way...
