Louis Mills large tanto in Muromachi period mountings
Louis Mills is one of the foremost smiths making Japanese style blades in tamahagane and oroshigane.
http://www.dfoggknives.com/images/Millsforge1.jpg Louis Mills in his traditional type forge. His production is scarce and this piece was inspired in a Muromachi Period koshi mountings http://www.arscives.com/bladesign/im...ing-banner.jpg which has a tiger-eye stone kashira instead of the more traditional wooden piece in which it was inspired: http://www.arscives.com/bladesign/im...hoto_small.jpg Here's a picture of the blade http://www.arscives.com/bladesign/im...left_small.jpg Entire description and price viewable here. Thanks for looking |
