Default Unusual Moro knife

This one finished recently in an online auction. The knife is fairly small, about 12 inches long overall with a hilt of 6 5/8 in. The blade is double-edged, and a flattened diamond in cross-section. A small thin disc guard is present and the carved horn hilt has a short silver(?) punto. It appears to have some age, perhaps first half of 20th C, but should have a better idea once it arrives.

It looks to me like a variant of a Moro gunong. As always, thoughts and comments are welcome.

It kind of looks like a barung and a gunong had a baby. A Ba-nong?

Have fun,
Leif

The pinto is silver according to the hue and patina, and looks Sulu to me. Could this be a Sulu form of gunong?

Interesting thought Jose. I wonder if anyone has a provenanced Sulu gunong for comparison.

I'm with Jose - strong contender of being a genuine Sulu knife/dagger!
