Sorry, can't help you with translation but I am pretty sure it says something along the lines of "I'm gonna kick your butt! Oh yeah?! I'm gonna kick YOUR butt!" and then the guys in the castle say "when you are done come over here and we will kick all of your butts!"
On a serious note, I love Indian miniature paintings/illuminations and find this one to be particularly attractive. Are you sure it's Sikh? By the way BUMP! We need a translation! |

You may get a better response if you change the title to islamic text, as this appears to be either farsi or arabic, not Punjabi or Hindi etc

Hi Raj
need 2 to 3 days ... for present time, my translator is in Cairo just time to contact her, and have her comments I guess, this texte should be writing in "Farsi", in Arabic ... only if what is writing is referring to Holy Quran, when the item doesn't come from an Arabic country I love these type of "miniatures" à + Dom |

They closed the gate of the fort to the King
They did not look at the baldes and the army They did not rush to (bow) to the king They kept their heads from serving the court If the just lord calls on them They went and did not listen to the orders of thier fathers (roughly) If judgment book was written Would not let to in the mountain or desert The wise king saw the only way To remove the barracade from that fort Ordered the army to Hundred Thousand Get up and attack that fort Fereshta (Angel) could be the name of the artist or poet or what not. |
