Old katar for comment
hello
I found an old and well used katar on the flea market last weekend. It seems to be a well used piece (signs of repeated sharpening) but sports a nicely fullered blade and nice leather covered wooden sheath. The blade has a simple decoration at the base. I'm not sure if it is wootz or not. I'll try to clean it up and give it a decent etch. All comments on the age / origin of this piece are welcome. Thanks for looking Tim By tim_wagendorp at 2011-04-12 By tim_wagendorp at 2011-04-12 By tim_wagendorp at 2011-04-12 |
