Default Tommonium. What hotels nearby?

What hotels are EEW people staying at near Timonium and or the Baltimore Arms Show? I know that many will be staying at the Holiday Inn Select.

We need to book reservations. Will have a rental car.

Also are there any interesting sites, museums, etc? We are planning a visit to the Smithsonian in DC for instance.

Hi Bill,

I'm staying at the HIS again this year. The accomodations aren't overwhelming, but it is close to the show, and is where the seminars will be held. That, by itself, was impetus enough for me to stay there again.

In my opinion, the only reason to go to Timonium, Maryland for this show and seminar. I'd spend your time in the DC metro area, or maybe check out Baltimore's Inner Harbor. My home town of Philadelphia is about a two-hour drive, and the Art Museum, the Franklin Institute and the Mutter Museum (medical) might be of interest to you if you've already spent enough time in DC.

Best,
Andrew

Here is the web site for the show. There is a link on the left for "Lodging," which lists a lot of options. The link to the Map also shows the location of the Holiday Inn where the seminars will be held.

Hi Bill,

Go with the HIS if at all possible, especially if you plan to attend both sessions of the semnar. DC is still very accessible. You might even just park at a Metro stop south of Baltimore to go into DC. The Metro makes everything a breeze!
