Default Chokwe madness

Mr Silly has just spent quite a lot of money on this beautiful piece, believing he would be out did . Still not as silly as some bids on south seas stuff not even as old or rare.

Tim

I was one of the other bidders early on but I saw it was getting too rich for my blood. I am glad you picked it up.

Lew what good taste you have. It is a bit rich for me too . I was only testing the water but glad to have won. 92cm is long. It seems that the clubs can tend to get longer through parts of central Africa to Uganda and Sudan. It looks nice and early. The decoration has made me question a wood double pointed spear which I said was S. Sudan. I still think so, but comparison will be helpful.

Lew, its a beauty. A real shame you cannot handle it. The tide mark disscolouration at the handle end went with a wipe of boot wax, it must have got a bit damp at one time. I think in the end I got a none too small bargain . Makes up for my last two ebay nightmares. I think clubs are best shown as a group so as to get some idea of the thing.
