HONG KONG MUSEUM of COASTAL DEFENSE
For those who like military fortresses, here is another to add to the list if you are ever in Hong Kong.
Housed in the old Lei Yue Mun (Lyemun) Fortress on Hong Kong island, is this museum to coastal defence over the last 600 years. There are many excellent displays and also large guns and some military vehicles. The fortress was built to protect the Lei Yue Mun Strait and as can be seen from the pics, the Strait is very narrow. This is where the Japanese crossed from Kowloon peninsula to Hong Kong Island in 1941. This link will give further information http://hk.coastaldefence.museum/en_U...roduction.html Hope you enjoy...... Stu |
