2014 Settler's Days Sept 20-21
The first weekend of Summer means autumn will follow in three months, An annual gathering north of Providence, RI with a group of us sharing swords and other arms for many years now.
http://www.msrgc.com/ Various other activities and vendors will be present. Each year a bit different. A blacksmith is a regular. An occasional drum circle, with Pow Wows going on country wide that weekend. Any interested in attending independently are welcome. Contact the club directly. Any wanting to join our own tables are welcome and just let me know. Set up both days starts at about 7am-8am. We have been setting up under some pine trees just at the entrance to the compound, near the clubhouse. A wide assortment of modern made and antique swords. Hawk tossing just next to us. There are usually targets to cut. The club activities work on a ticket basis (food, range, etc) but we don't require tickets for our end. The entrance and attendance is free. Cheers Hotspur; more swords and knives this year |

Still a couple of months to go. I have added this to the calender link above.
Thanks for your considerations. GC |

Just a few days now. A rare treat about a decade ago was a visit From sir Boas and his collection of Kevin Cashen ("The Professor") swords and a Vince Evans dirk.
While I can't boast the same possibility, I will have a Cashen monosteel bowie there as well as a Vince Evans twisted bowie and older folded lockback. The weather is looking good for both days. Cheers GC |
