Default Can anyone ID this knife?

I'd like to know more about this knife that I bought today. What's the horn from and is it a utility knife? Its got a big thick blade. 27.5 overall length, 18cm blade length. 1cm thick blade.

This knife comes from mainland SE Asia, probably Burma. The horn hilt is nicely done and shows some age. Hard to say how old this one may be--perhaps mid-20th C.

Ian.

Thank you for the quick replies. Is it cow horn? It's a lump of horn that's for sure!
