Default Two long Visayan knives/swords

VIS 1150

Cebuano pinuti. Sometimes referred to as a lawi lawi bolo. Long, slender, slightly recurved blade in black painted wooden scabbard. Hilt is wood with a small aluminum guard. Probably WWII vintage.

Overall length = 19.25 in.
Blade = 15 in.
Hilt = 4.25 in.

VIS 1080

Leyte/Samar knife. Sometimes referred to as a binulang sansibar. Blade has a prominent chisel grind with maximum width close to hilt. Wooden hilt has a crack along the back and a rattan wrap. Typical Leyte/Samar fluted scabbard. Probably mid-20th C.

Overall length: 18 in.
Blade = 13.5 in.
Hilt = 4.5 in.
