ID for leather cartridge case.

Hello
I would like informations to be able to find out where this case from.
I have similarly found in a photograph since the Ottoman Empire, but I am not sure that this type existed in the Ottoman Empire or the Balkans area in 19th century. Outside it is leather and on the lid it has patterns with golden-colored flowers.
On the side there are bronze studs and two brass hanging rings.The interior is made of wood and has 21 seats, the wood is covered with fine leather.
I would like yours help for anything informations

I don't know why your thread was moved.
All the bullet boxes and powder flasks are on the other forum...strange...
I have seen the same kind of cartridge case but in brass like the palaskas.
For me it's Ottoman, but it's almost impossible to say if it was from Turkey or the Balkans...

I think you are right and It is an Ottoman cartridge case that existed throughout the Ottoman Empire
I can not understand the reason why the publication has moved since many such cases have been published...
Searching on the internet i found some similar examples, but they were made of silver and beautiful Ottoman symbols.
I will assume that this is a sample of the beginning of the 19th century, and it accepted munitions as you said and the same with classic metal palaska.

Hi Stelio.

Yes, I agree with others here. Ottoman for sure. You see similar patterns using gold or silver thread on the leather holsters (the correct name escapes me at the moment) used to carry the horse pistols.
That's a very nice pouch used to carry pre-made combustable cartridges. The curve of the box I believe stems from a European design, with the curve making it easier to carry on the right or left side of the waist area.
A very nice and seldom encountered example for your collection. Congratulations.

Still needs a little maintenance and will be put in place along with the other Ottoman weapons and objects
