Wootz kilij with unusual Kirk Narduban
This sword was shown on another Forum. The unusual feature is Kirk Narduban each rung of which seems to consist of 3 sub-rungs ( triple Kirk?). With permission by the owner, I post it here.
Any opinions? Has anyone seen a similar pattern? |

VERY unusual. Thank you for posting this beauty, Ariel.
Sometimes a single rang can appear as being "split", and the spread can be quite wide. In other instances a ladder can "fold" in the zig-zag fashion. This one is not obvious to be either. Very intriguing... need more time to determine if these are deliberately cut triplets, but looks like this is the case... lucky owner. |

Indeed, a beautiful sword
It does look like the smith was doing a kirk +1, reminds me of the disposable razor wars of the last millenium |
