Default Unknown box

Can somebody explain what it is ? It seems eastern origin (Persia ?). Dimensions 3,4x4,7 cms.Material is iron or steel. Thanks in advance.

for putting perfume inside?
is it magnetic? looks alot like gold, it doesn't look plated or gold filled.

actually it cant be for perfume, its not cutout like I though, so ill guess its for storing opium or something of the like

It is an upper-arm amulet holder (bazuband) from Persia.

No, the real colour is iron grey. The shade is influenced by that of the blue fabric.
