Parang Nabur
Parang Panangkas or Parang Kemoedi Singkir.
Hello, I have added a new sword to my collection. I studied with great interest all the topics on the forum that were related to the discussion of Parang Nabur. Judging by the classification kindly presented by Amuk Murugul, I assume that the sword can be classified as Parang Panangkas or Parang Kemoedi Singkir. This topic is new to me, I would be grateful for any information. Regards, Yuri. |

Nice! I'm waiting on a far more budget version of one. Will post it at some point after it arrives. I really like these swords and how they combine Borneo and western influences. And there's quite a wide variety of interesting blade shapes.

Thanks for your comments. What can you say about the age of the sword?

I believe many of them are from the mid 19th century but beyond that I'm afraid I lack knowledge.
