Local museum has an amazing collection of Persian edged weapons. Two of the axes have tags "16th century"... We plan of displaying the items in the spring - looking for info... 14 items total. Will upload a few photos at a time. THANKS in advance for any and all info! .... error posting photos... to large. computer skills are limited. Help?

Feel free to email me: iain.norman@gmail.com

I'd be happy to resize the photos for you. Collection sounds very interesting and I am always glad to hear of local museums putting on arms and armour displays.

Sure, the date on the blade is 1210 Hijra, corresponding to 1795/96.

Default Magnificent...

...is the first word that comes to mind, on seeing that Persian collection. Or the Khanjar, at least. Beautiful metal working, excellent curved Khanjar blade. 19" with the handle seems a bit much to lug around in one's sash, but what do I know?
I know I must HAVE one, that's what I know.

Nice photography, too. Where is this museum?
