Default More from Mr. Rainer Daehnhardt

Today i am sending two emails with photos of the sword of MARQUIS of de LOULÉ, made in Paris by Lepage in 1833, when this Noble Diplomat and Military went there to bring the young Dona Maria the 2nd. back to Portugal to her father, Dom Pedro IV of Portugal (former Emperor Pedro 1st of Brazil)
The manufacturer signs both the blade and the guard: “LEPAGE-L’ARQUEBUSIER DU ROI ” The blade is exceptional in every aspect, both in the engraving and in the gold inlays. The handle is rolled tortoise shell with twisted silver threads.
