Default Just another moro....

I always loved this hilt with rattan bands and this one shows also a nice laminated blade with some kind of "wootz" sections. What is? cristallin structure of the iron? Also the cacatooa pommel was made by a nice banati (?) wood

Nice piece,

That looks like exposed crystal structure visible from heavy etching. Wrought iron will often look very similar to this.

Nice puppy and complete. Yes not unheard of at all to have a crystalline pattern to the metal. Not wootz, but certainy crystalline structure. I had a budiak spear with a similar section to it (I think VVV has it now.).

Looks like the scabbard is missing 3 brass bands....

Jose, you have a sharp eye The scabbard had lost sme bands, that in original were made of brass, as the one on the bottom but in a second time were substituted by rattan stripes that were lost again. I will restore when I have some times
