Indian??? knife
This one just finished on eBay. I'm having trouble placing its origin. Thoughts?

Congratulations, I was was hoping nobody would notice this. If I am correct, it is a 19thC Indian Jamdhar Katari.

I tried to identify the origin of a similar one [image attached] last year. The British Museum Handbook to Ethnographic collections illustrates an example (plate 42 s) and says it "is the national dagger of the Kafirs of the Hindu Kush" - so I put the locality down as Kafiristan. Does anybody know more about them ?
