Dagger for Dom
Hi Dom, please have a look at this dagger and tell me about it. I have lots of enthusiasm but not much knowledge!
All comments welcome. Brian |

It is a Shibriya, a variant of jambiya of a "Palestinian" origin, encompassing Israel, West Bank and Jordan. They have this peculiar "dogleg" configuration of the blade and, usually, tin metal scabbard and handle. Very "homemade" quality, as a rule.

Another Shibryia
Here is another Shibryia. Different to Brian's, but same blade shape. Believed to be Palestinian in origin.
