Default Boa sword

Here the Boa which come together with the Lobala, Ngala and Trumbash, still uncleaned. I think it is like the other ones from the time before 1920.
One picture show it together with the one I have shown in an other thread.

Nice pairing Detlef...

To your knowledge, are these (quasi-)reversals in the blade profile (near the hilt) common to a particular subgroup (or region) within the Boa?

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

here you ask the really beginner! But to my knowlegde you can find this or similar also by Mongelima, Angba, Kango, Benge, Bati, Bandia and Angba tribe and maybe some other. This tribes live in the same area as the Boa and I doubt that I will be able to differentiate their swords. But this I only have read. Others will be able to tell you more.

Regards,

Detlef
