Default African dagger ..a cobbled together hybrid ?

A photo sent by a fellow collector for me to ID . Appears to be a spear blade to which a dagger handle has been added ... would welcome any opinions please.

Not cobbled together. I am not at home to add better information but these and a great many variants are from the Congo. Without reference I cannot give names.

Thank you Tim ... I thought the blade could be Central African but it was the grip that foxed me , with it being so similar to Sudanese types .

Hello Thinreadline,

it's a Congo knife from the Boa, Angba or Bandia tribe and called mambeli. And like Tim said not cobbled together, all is original.

Regards,
Detlef
