Default KINJAL for comments

Hi all,
i bought this dagger recently. It looks like a Kinjal. length is 35 cm weight with scabbard 200 gr. I was told that it comes from Pontus area... but i dont know. Any info appreciated.

Yes, a Turkish one.
The Trabzon area is full of islamized Georgians: Lazes, Meskhetis, some Adjars.
Turkey and Georgia fought one war after another ( Ottomans usually won), and it is possible that the idea of Kindjal came to the Caucasus from down south.

Yours is likely to be early 20th century.
