Pakayun from Borneo
This is my lat adquisition, a very good pakayunn from Borneo, in very good state. Only have missing one "horn" in the handle. The sheath is engraved and all the piece have a beatiful patina.
I hope enjoy with this piece. Best Regards Carlos |

Shame about the knob on the pommel, but otherwise a superb example. So nice to find these things with their accoutrements.
Congrats!! |

Beautiful sword. Making a replacement horn shouldn't be to hard if you intend to do so. Congratulations on your new treasure.

This is gorgeous - congrats, Carlos!
Ben, is it known wether Murut etched these blades? This piece has a nice pattern and I saw another example with even more pronounced staining of the similarly laminated blade... Regards, Kai |
