Default Moro Kris for comment

Hello all,
have recently acquired a kris which is is in need of some repair.
Approx. 66cm / 26" in length.
Using Cato I think it may be a Mindanao kris, late 1800 to early 1900s.
Any insight into where from and age would be appreciated.
Any ideas on repair of handle also appreciated (especially appropriate type of pommel).
thanks

It looks like a late 1890s Maguindanao kris. Shame about the wrapping and lacquer.

Thanks Battara, any suggestion on what the pommel shape should look like?
