Very nice piece! Mid to late 18th century, judging from the hilt style and side guards (note that they are filled in whereas earlier pieces tend to be either open rings or a dot punched patterning in the guard. It could still be earlier(1720's-50's), but the little circlet of metal on the hilt near the pommel makes me think 1780's-90's, as this was where a small chain would have extended from the hilt to one of the quillons. This was late 18th century practice. Blade looks earlier? Nice broadsword-type. Definately western European. The brits had a similar one around 1780's...

No problem. I do think the blade does resemble some of the Danish/Swede blades I've come across, but this is just a broad guess.
