Default Arabic dagger for ID and possible translation

I will not try and describe details i wouldn't know how to name; but i expect the pictures to speak by themselves.
I would be thankful for your comments. Provenance and approximate date are vital.
... A dof course the translation of how many parts you feel like providing.
The blade measures 21 cms.
Thanks a lot in advance.

This is a Persian Khandjar, or Jambiya. 19th Century Qajar period. The handle and scabbard are chiseled steel, the blade could be damascus steel (but I doubt it). The inscriptions are most likely Koranic invocations. Good quality dagger.

Thank you so much for your input, Alex .
I also think the blade steel is plain.
Some traces of gold can be seen in the dot line that surrounds the blade base motifs; also some traces of red, but these most probably dragged from the red paint applied to the hilt.
What would this red stuff be for ... not for sealing ?

This is just a resin applied to seal the gap where the old resin crumbled out. Someone filled it with colored resin or paste, not really proper material for this.
