That poison vial looks very much the "Monkey Scrotum" powder flask I posted a while back. Maybe it's not a powder flask?

And that package is wrapped with the treebark you can see, wrapped with a cord to keep it closed. http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=8274 With the quivers comes a "hung"which is a gourd made from calabash, being some kind of fruit. There are pretty amazing gourds around. I have seen Edo period japanese ones, inlaid with silver and all. |
