My Trip to Paris Pictures
Hi guys, just back from Paris . Had a great time and a great visit to some wonderful collections of arms and armour. Without boring you all with the over 2000 photos I took, I thought I'd just post a few over the next few weeks.
I was only able to visit a couple stores as most were closed over the August holidays. In the future I will NOT visit Paris in August - too many tourists. I was able to visit the large high-end antique mall across from the Louve. The prices were top-dollar. The two sores that were open were Patrice Reboul, Armes anciennes and L'Espadon. Patrice had all maner of great material, swords (all cultures), military orders and militaria. L'Espadon was all high-end and high-priced (but worderfull) Napoleonic swords and armour. Enjoy the pics and I'll post others under Islamic swords/daggers, armour, ancient weapons etc etc. Greg |

Great pictures! Thank you very much for posting them.
What is that sword in your second picture? David Lewis Smith over at SFI had a mystery sword from Afghanistan that looked similar.... |

Hi Joe, don't know. I think it's Chinese This store was closed so the best I could do was a picture through the window.

Envious
WIsh I had some stores like that to shop at. Any idea how the prices were in the stores on weapons? Close to what auctions are? Or double?
