Kwiatek
Dear Kwiatek,
Many thanks for your invaluable contributions! For a very long time this Forum, with its major interest in Islamic weapons, suffered from the absence of a person capable of translating inscriptions and offering important insights to their peculiarities and origins. Some of us, like myself, were lucky to have friends and colleagues fluent in modern versions of Arabic, Urdu or Farsi. But even then the fine points of older versions were often lost . Your involvement filled the void and we all are grateful for your contributions and blessed by your presence. I have no idea whether your interests include old weapons, but if yes and if we can repay you by our collective experience in that area, we shall all be glad and honored to do so. |

Gosh, thank you for your kind post. It's a pleasure to be able to help, where I can. Yes, I'm very interested in old weapons and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from people who have been studying and collecting these for years. All the best, Kwiatek
