Default Unique Philippine kris dagger for sale

Here's an interesting Philippine kris dagger for sale. The blade is chrome or nickel plated which was a vogue thing to do prior to WWII. This helped prevent the blade from rusting. The plated blade is 8 inches long and is done in the tapered "kris" style of Luzon. It has brass ferrules, end cap, and guard. The hilt is interesting and highly influenced by the Spanish dagger hilts of Albaciete. The stacked construction is composed of carved bone and carved brass in a zig-zag pattern with aluminum spacers. The central portion composed of carabao horn sections with bone inlays and aluminum spacers. This style is popular north of Manila....possibly from Paganisan or Pampanga. 12.5 inches overall and no scabbard. Overall a rather nice and unique kris dagger from Luzon. Thanks for looking .
