Ottoman kilij..Hungarian?

Any opinions on were this sword originated, it has the look of an Ottoman kilij except the blade.

Hello such a nice sword i highly think that it is European made can be Hungarian or other because blade even is not the exact style of Ottoman made ones .
European style blades have very strong lines on the form and Ottoman made ones have more smooth lines also Ottomans don't use such engravings on swords so this blade that i am more sure is not Turkish at all but can be Hungarian or Polish blade

I would say that it's not an Ottoman sword, but a "sabre a l'oriental".
Bulgarians and Polish have been so much in contact with the Ottomans & Tatars that they took their habits and weapons...

Hi Kubur,
I feel also another option could be possible. Sword hanged together (rapaired) from various "spareparts" either in Anatolia or Western Balkans. The mounting may be new, crossguard with hexagram is from Ottoman times, stitching is not as propper as it used to be in Ottoman times, but still made by somebody, who knows the work ...

Thanks Kuber, a very similar sword, I have seen a few others and always wondered were exactly they originated.

It seems to me that to owners of these very Ottoman like swords were showing an affiliation with the Ottomans, Bulgaria is a good guess as they were under Ottoman control until the 1800s I believe. These swords could have easily been made without the obvious Ottoman symbolism and during that time period anyone seeing these swords most likely have attributed some sort of meaning to the style.
